Canyon Movement Company, Inc.
Flagstaff, Arizona
Under my bed; behind my closet door...
Created by The company
Heebie-jeebies...goosebumps...shivers...willies: DANCES of nightmares and vampires... A bride hanging from the ceiling...yearnings for blood...young vampires establishing their territory...the single soul damned to eternal torment... monsters, clowns, spiders...

Excerpts from "Dusk to Dawn - Vampire legends" and other creepy dances. Using silk hanging from the ceiling and other unique props, this noted Arizona dance company will present a lively, fun, and sometimes scary concert for everyone. A collection of dances about the things that give you chills.

A collaborative choreographic company, dances are choreographed by individuals in the group. Story-telling is woven into the dances, telling scary tales like Covey, Unholy Matrimony, Lit by Night, Aha, and more. Incorporating local community members, the poignant look at the serious, as well as humorous, side of things that scare us, will keep you buzzing about more than teen-age vampire love stories.

CAST Gina B. Darlington, Kristi Long, Amanda Moore, Erin Glockner, Cori Wall, Amanda Kapp, Jayne Lee, Sarah Thomas, Megan Kramer, Melissa McMaster, and friends.

I saw a sneak preview of this show while I was at the Flagstaff Fringe Festival. Excellent work, highly recommended.

Michael  5 Stars!
This is one cool little dance show with some really nice creative ideas, and a perfect balance between morbid, aesthetically pleasing and funny moments. I absolutely loved the toy story scene and the cocoon scene. May not be the greatest dancers and most sophisticated choreographies youve ever seen, but its unique, creative, has more than just a twist, is put together very well, in short: highly entertaining.

JW Magos  5 Stars!
I loved this. See it. You wont be disappointed.

Terri  5 Stars!
The concept and stories danced out were fantastic and full of energy. Costumes were fabulously flowing for each element of the show. A must see at the fringe.

MJ  5 Stars!
Delightful and entertaining, this dance was worth seeing. It flowed well and told interesting stories. The costumes and props were creative and striking. High quality thought provoking art!

I saw this Thursday night, which I believe was an opening/dress rehearsal performance? Extremely interesting ideas and enthusiastic dancers, but this particular showing was pretty rough around the edges. I liked the concept and loved the dancers, but stage machinery and costume problems were an issue throughout, and most distracting in the opening piece where the gorgeous initial imagery was derailed by the dancers having to adjust to ongoing hassles with the platforms and drapes. Very entertaining and well done!

Great imagery and lived up to its sickly sweet description. The venue is slightly small, but it worked to create a connection between the audience and the performers. I especially liked the choreography from Lit by Night. All in all very entertaining and worth checking out.

Grandma Jacobs  5 Stars!
This show was remarkably creative and aesthetically pleaseing to watch. I felt the dancers were limited by the small space and small technical difficulties but created a fabulous mood and story that tied together. Some moments made me laugh and some made me want to cry. Great lighting, props and theatrics. Good dancing and choroegraphy but space was totally inadequate. A must see at this years Fringe! Great for the whole family not just dance enthusiasts.
